A day to experience the dreams of Nobunaga🏯

先日…定休日を利用して、滋賀県の安土城跡を訪れてきました。
以前から一度は行ってみたいと思っていた場所で、ようやく念願が叶いました。

安土城といえば、織田信長が天下統一を目指す中で築いた、日本で初めて本格的な天守閣をもつ城。単なる軍事拠点ではなく、政治・文化・宗教の中心として構想された、まさに信長の壮大なビジョンの象徴です。

訪れた日はかなり冷え込み、山を登るにつれて体の芯まで寒さが染みてきました。それでも、石段を一段一段踏みしめながら「ここを信長も登ったのかもしれない」と想像すると、不思議と気持ちは高揚していきます。

現在は天守こそ残っていませんが、城跡に立つと、そのスケールの大きさがはっきりと伝わってきます。眼下に広がる琵琶湖の景色を眺めながら、もし天守が現存していたらどれほど壮麗だったのだろうか、と自然と想像が膨らみました。

寒さ以上に、歴史のロマンと信長の野望に触れられたことで、心は大いに満たされた一日。
次は季節を変えて、また違った表情の安土城を感じに来てみたいと思います。

I took advantage of my day off to visit the ruins of Azuchi Castle in Shiga Prefecture.
It's a place I've always wanted to visit, and finally, my wish came true.

Azuchi Castle is Japan's first castle with a full-scale castle tower, built by Oda Nobunaga in his quest to unify the country. It was conceived not just as a military base, but as a political, cultural, and religious center, truly symbolizing Nobunaga's grand vision.

It was quite chilly the day I visited, and the cold seeped into my very core as I climbed the mountain. Still, as I stepped up each stone step, I felt strangely excited, imagining that Nobunaga himself may have climbed this very same place.

The castle tower itself no longer remains, but standing at the castle ruins, you can clearly sense its sheer scale. Gazing out at the view of Lake Biwa below, I naturally began to imagine how magnificent the tower would have been if it had still existed.

More than the cold, it was a day that left me feeling deeply fulfilled by experiencing the romance of history and Nobunaga's ambitions.
Next time, I'd like to come back in a different season to experience Azuchi Castle from a different perspective.
