大阪・関西万博の開幕を前に、会場直結の駅として開業したばかりの大阪メトロ中央線の「夢洲（ゆめしま）駅」（大阪市此花区）が早くも〝観光地化〟しています。まだ一般の人は会場に入ることはできないですが、駅の地上出口付近から会場を一目見ようとする人や、新駅自体に興味を持つ鉄道ファンらが多く集まっていらしゃいます。アルミ素材の天井など見どころも多く、鉄道ファンらが熱心にカメラを向けていらっしゃいます。延伸に合わせて導入された、宇宙船をイメージした新型車両もファンの興味を引いているようです。
夢洲駅は中央線の西側の終点だった「コスモスクエア駅」から3・2キロ延伸され開業。万博会場の人工島・夢洲につながる唯一の鉄道路線で、開幕後は多い日に1日13万人超が乗り降りすることが想定されてるそうです。
万博開幕の4月13日を前に駅は意外なにぎわいとなっている。駅構内は開放的で近未来感のあるデザインで、地下1階コンコースの縦約3メートル、横約55メートルの大型サイネージ（電子看板）はすでに稼働。中央線延伸の過程を紹介する映像などを放映しています。
地上出口を出ると、万博会場のシンボルである大屋根（リング）や、大阪ヘルスケアパビリオンなどの外観の一部をフェンス越しに見ることができ、一般の人たちがスマートフォンで場内の様子や、会場を背景とした記念撮影を行っていました。
Ahead of the opening of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, "Yumeshima Station" (Konohana-ku, Osaka City) on the Osaka Metro Chuo Line, which just opened as a station directly connected to the venue, has already become a tourist spot. The general public is not yet allowed to enter the venue, but many people are gathering near the ground exit of the station to get a glimpse of the venue, as well as railway fans interested in the new station itself. There are many things to see, such as the aluminum ceiling, and railway fans are eager to take pictures of them. The new spaceship-themed carriages introduced in conjunction with the extension also seem to be attracting the interest of fans.
